Bags of rubbish left on pavement outside Dixon Place flats/building, on Wharf Road (opposite the bus station)'
Reported via mobile in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category by Dan Green at 15:48, Wednesday 9 September 2026
Sent to South Kesteven District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 10074119.
Please note that this is a re-send of the original report as there may have been a mix-up regarding the location of the problem. Multiple bags of rubbish that aren't ours keep being dumped on the pavement outside properties. This started to become a problem around six weeks ago for a spell, now it's started again over the last week or so. Aside from the usual downsides such as health and safety concerns and how bad it looks in general, barely a day goes by without bags being left here. As can be seen from the photos, it can reach a grand scale and sometimes the rubbish ends up being scattered (even onto the road on occasion). Rubbish lying around constantly on a major public thoroughfare is hazardous and gives visitors a poor impression of the town. Then there's the possibility of rats.....

It seems this problem might be rearing its ugly head again, and there seems to be a pattern emerging: issue gets seen to, time passes, and then the person or persons start fly-tipping again - waiting for the dust to settle, so to speak. Presumably they are doing this because they don't like bags of rubbish outside their property. Neither do I as it goes, especially when it's not even my rubbish.

Rubbish has been added to since this morning's report, as is the norm with this ongoing issue. It's also at a bus stop, so it's both hazardous and inconvenient.
