Urgent Environmental Health Concern – Dog/Faecal Waste Outside 47 Grantley Street, Grantham

Reported via mobile in the Dog Fouling - Report a Location category anonymously at 10:28, Sunday 13 September 2026

Sent to South Kesteven District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 10089992.

I am a tenant at 47 Grantley Street, Grantham, and I am writing to report a serious environmental hygiene and infection-control concern immediately beside my property.

I have found what appears to be faecal waste/animal faeces on the pedestrian walking area beside the road, directly next to my house. I cannot confirm whether it is dog faeces, but the waste is clearly visible and is absolutely disgusting and unhygienic.

I have attached photographs showing the condition of the area. I am particularly concerned about the potential infection-control and public-health risks, especially as this is a pedestrian area that is accessible to residents, children and other members of the public.

I would be grateful if the council could please:

* Arrange for the waste to be inspected and removed as soon as possible. * Investigate whether this area is being affected by repeated dog fouling or other animal waste. * Consider whether any further cleaning or sanitation of the area is required. * Advise me what action can be taken to prevent this from happening again.

I would appreciate this matter being treated seriously, given the obvious hygiene concerns and the location immediately outside a residential property.

Please confirm receipt of this complaint and let me know what action will be taken.
