Passageway between Redcot Gardens and Cornwall Road

Reported via desktop in the Litter category anonymously at 11:21, Fri 14 March 2025

Sent to South Kesteven District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7277840.

For a number of years this passageway appears to have been used inappropriately. This has got increasingly worse more recently. This passageway appears to be used as a thoroughfare by drug users going to houses in Cornwall Road. There are houses that have so much litter in the garden the litter is overspilling into the passage way and blowing into Redcot Gardens and is unsightly but also a Health and Safety issue. The cars coming into the top area of Redcot Gardens to go to houses in Cornwall Road creates parking and movement issues for the residents of Redcot Gardens at the top end of the road. A number of residents of Cornwall Road park their cars in Redcot Gardens making it difficult for residents of Redcot to park. Also the sometimes unsocial behaviour of the people passing through the passageway is unacceptable particularly where drugs are concerned. Closing of this passageway would give the residents of Redcot Gardens more safety and security and would allow them to be able to park in their own street at evenings and weekends as the residents of Cornwall Road would then be encouraged to park in their own street and use their own road for their drug exchanges.
