Sent to South Kesteven District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9017955.

The problem has become increasingly noticeable and unacceptable. There is a consistent amount of dog mess left on pavements and grassed areas around the village. I particularly notice it along the main road footpath, which I use daily. On numerous occasions I have stepped in it, and my pushchair has also gone through it.

It is unpleasant, unhygienic and completely avoidable. Residents should be able to walk through the village, talk with friends and move safely along the pavement without constantly having to look down to avoid stepping in waste. It is especially difficult when needing to step aside to allow others to pass, as the grass verges are often also affected.

This is not an isolated incident but a regular and ongoing issue. Preventative measures the council intends to take to address this. Increased signage, patrols, or fines may help deter irresponsible dog owners. Although I find this unlikely as it is already an offence not to clear up dog mess.
