Overflowing skip outside Eden House Hotel Grantham

Reported via mobile in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category anonymously at 19:01, Saturday 1 August 2026

Sent to South Kesteven District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9883018.

This skip is located outside Eden House Hotel at 130 north parade by Gonerby Road in Grantham. It is not only an eyesore but has been there for months and is now attracting youths in the evening who seem to want to mess around the overflowing rubbish. The hotel is uninterested as they aren’t running a hotel anymore. However the car park in which the skip sits is open to the public and the skip is a danger. It won’t be moved as it has been there for months as the skip company appears to have gone into liquidation. No wonder Grantham high street is no longer vibrant or worth a visit. The run down shows and rubbish piling up in a skip on the way in is enough to put anyone off

  • This skip is still a risk and a public nuisance easily accessible by youths and others as it is not in any way covered or protected from the public. Goodness knows what rubbish is in it. The problem seems to have been ignored in that if anything the rubbish is getting higher with the council apparently ignoring the problem.
